James Fredrick Jensen (ACES) Belize Relationship

My name is James Fredrick Jensen I am a Canadian that lived in Belize on the Island of San Pedro, this is another chapter of my Novella about the time that past after my Wife Janis Died. This chapter covers in multiple parts my relationship with the American Crocodile Education Sanctuary of Belize located in Punta Gorda.

I first met Vince and Cherie Chenot Rose a few weeks after my wife Jan’s funeral services on the Island of San Pedro in Belize. I was introduced to the Rose’s my Tamara Sniffen the Publisher of the San Pedro Sun. Tamara offered the readings at my wife Jan’s service, it was heart spoken with many tears from all.

A while past I decided to fly to Punta Gorda and spent some time with the Roses. We mutually decided that we had a fit, the Roses had a building I new the Liquor Business so I invested $37.000.00 BZ into the operation to help start the liquor business known as Adiferous Wines and Liquors. The first step was to wire transfer $10,000.00 BZ to the Roses bank account in Punta Gorda.

From September of 2008 on I spent most of my time traveling to Honduras and Punta Gorda. Punta Gorda Belize was close to Honduras a short boat ride and then a 2 hour drive and home to Honduras. I was spending less time in San Pedro I had sold the Liquor Box to the owner of the Tackle Box in San Pedro a crazy american named Joe.

The building the Roses owned needed work, windows, doors, electric, water etc. It was a shell of a building. Vince Rose is a carpenter and was quick to work out how to get this building in shape. Permits for everything that was simple the SGT of Police in Punta Gorda Cardinal Smith was interested in seeing this business work. Permits were granted. We opened near the end of October Adiferous Wine and Liquors.

Cherie Rose was overwhelmed by the amount of work and time needed. Cherie Rose had hoped that we could hire a few employees, do inventory and sell Liquor. She found it hard and this put stress on her relationship with Vince. Cherie paid all the bills and took care of the business for my 40%.

During these months the Roses were trying to finish another Crocodile pen they had been building, short of cash I made a donation in Jan’s name to have the pen finished. $10.000.00 BZ. Jan would have agreed with this. The Roses had an event coming up to show the people of Punta Gorda the Resort and there ideas to support the community through tourism for the area.

Our relationship between all of us changed when the Roses home was broken into and guns were stolen. Guns that ended up used in a Robbery and the murder of those working at the store that was robbed.

Vince Rose became distant thinking that I and another person a Cop from Punta Gorda had something to do with break in at the Roses Resort.  This changed the entire relationship the Roses had with the community of Punta Gorda.
